"Monkey see. Monkey do,"
our teacher warns as we go to the zoo.
First stop for our motley crew,
the simian house with its apes that go "oo".
Oo, ee, oo, oo.
Monkey see. Monkey do.
The chimpanzees are flinging goo.
What's that? You say it's ...poo-poo?
The boys giggle and yell, "Woo hoo!"
The girls scream a collective "ewwwww."
Teacher turns a greenish hue
as she laughs & straightens her beehive hairdo,
then smirks as she changes her warning to,
"Monkey see. Monkey doo-doo."
